It's a once in a lifetime event and you are cordially invited!

Dr. W.R. Norful, Sr., who has served as pastor of St. John AME Church in Pine Bluff, AR for 25 years, will retire.  He will be honored in a grand way September 14-16, 2012 for a total of 45 years of pastoral ministry.

"Once in a Lifetime ~ Retirement Celebration of Dr. W.R. Norful, Sr." will feature Gospel music and Hollywood icons during a weekend filled with praise and worship! 

The weekend begins with a Gala event on Friday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Peabody Hotel Ballroom in Little Rock, AR.  Television Actress Kim Fields will be the host.  Gospel Recording Artist Karen Clark-Sheard will be the featured musical guest.

A Worship Experience will take place on Saturday, September 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Convention Center in Pine Bluff.  Gospel Recording Artist and Pastor Smokie Norful will be the guest speaker. 

The Worship Experience is free of charge and open to the general public.

The weekend will conclude with Sunday Morning Worship on September 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John AME Church, located at 1115 West Pullen Street in Pine Bluff.  Bishop Samuel L. Green, Sr., who is over the 12th District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, will be the guest speaker.
