The Arkansas First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ will, again this year, convene June 11-15, 2012 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.  Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) is expected to attract over 500 delegates for a week of training, fellowship and spiritual renewal representing churches located in cities from Blytheville to Pine Bluff.

 

Under the spirited leadership of Arkansas First Jurisdictional Bishop Jewel R. Withers and Elder Cedric Smith, Jurisdictional AIM Chairman, the mission of AIM is to advance Kingdom work through spiritual enrichment, in-depth training, Christian education, family fellowship, evangelism and discipleship. Serving also with Bishop Withers on the jurisdictional level is Mrs. Hazel Deloney as Jurisdictional Supervisor of the Womens Ministry.  The Host Superintendent is Dr. Joe L. Stocker of Pine Bluff No.1.  Serving with Dr. Stocker is Mrs. Wanda Jones, District Supervisor of the Womens Ministry.

 

The combined conventions of Music and Youth, Missions and Evangelism and Sunday School  will bring together people of all ages from through the First Jurisdiction of Arkansas.  Auxiliaries meet daily in empowerment sessions with all convening each midday and evening for powerful preaching, praise and worship and anointed music services. Activities and opportunities for family involvement include Scholastic Motivation, Bible Bowl, Spelling Bee Competitions, Math, Drill Teams, along with tours of key recreational and education sites throughout the city of Pine Bluff and hands-on exposure to workforce related skills.

 

The schedule of worship services include morning, mid-day, and evening experiences.  The morning speakers are Minnie Hill and Karl Barnes, youth department, on Tuesday and Wednesday;  Dedric  Jones, Music department, on Thursday; and the presidents appreciation on Friday.

 

Mid-day speakers include Richard Harper, Missions department, Tuesday; Letha Walker-Richardson, Evangelist department, Wednesday;  Leato Walker, Jr., Sunday School, Thursday; Alvin Coleman, Jr., Music department, Friday.

 

The noon worship service also includes  mini-seminars on Transformation Finance.  Clarissa Pace, Shekinah Services of Monticello, Arkansas will present several  topics:  (1) Minimizing Taxes (Addressing ways families and individuals can minimize their tax liability at tax season), (2) Debt Elimination/Budgeting Power (Introducing the importance of eliminating debt and budgeting your finances)  (3) Credit Improvement Tips (Providing  ways to improve your credit and save, (4) The Possibilities of Building Your Own Home  (Showing individuals that building your own home is as simple as purchasing existing properties even in the times of a so-called recession ).


Speakers for the evening service include a special guest on Thursday, Evangelist Karen Clark-Sheard (shown in the photo above) who is a national evangelist of the Church of God in Christ, Inc.  and  an accomplished recording artist in her own right.  Other speakers include Fred Lee, Missions, Monday;  Linda Diggins, Sunday School, Tuesday; Oliver Smith, Evangelist department, Wednesday; Bishop Withers/Cedric Smith, jurisdictional prelate and AIM Chairman, Friday. Special guest featured at the late night musical on Friday is Carolyn Traylor.


The public is invited to the mid-day and 6:00 p.m. services in the auditorium of the Convention Center.
